Saint-Vincent Hospital

Saint-Vincent Hospital Founded in 1924, this hospital was originally named Saint-Vincent House, located on King Edward Street in Ottawa. In 1932, it was taken over by the Grey Nuns of the Cross and moved to the current Cambridge Street  

location (the then "new" Misericordia Hospital). It was subsequently renamed Saint-Vincent Hospital. 

 

Today the Saint-Vincent Hospital offers the following programs and services:

  • 350 Complex Continuing Care beds (includes services for Parkinson's, respite care patients, ventilator-dependent, neuromuscular, and dialysis patients).

Other Community Services

  • Satellite Hemodialysis Unit

Saint-Vincent Hospital Highlights

    • Saint-Vincent Hospital is the sole provider of Complex Continuing Care in the Ottawa region.
    • Saint-Vincent Hospital treats 350 patients within three major care streams: 1) complex, specialized care, 2) restorative care, and 3) supportive care.
