The Élisabeth Bruyère Research Institute (ÉBRI) is a partnership of Bruyère Continuing Care and the University of Ottawa. Bruyère Continuing Care is a health care organization affiliated with the University of Ottawa that actively promotes the integration of research and education with service delivery in its programs: Complex Continuing Care (348 beds at Saint-Vincent Hospital), Long-Term Care (71 beds at Élisabeth Bruyère Residence; 198 beds at Saint-Louis Residence), Palliative Care (36 beds), Rehabilitation and Care of the Elderly (98 beds including the Day Hospital and Family Medicine).

The Élisabeth Bruyère Research Institute is fortunate to have the full support of the University of Ottawa, particularly the three faculties of Medicine, Health Sciences and Social Sciences. The Institute also benefits from being one of the members of the family of "hospital" research institutes affiliated with the University of Ottawa.
